This website lists information which has been compiled by the Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership to help users understand and find relevant information specific to buying local produce or products in the Shropshire Hills area. The listing of a business on this website does not act as an approval or recommendation of any of the businesses, but is intended to provide information only.
All businesses which are listed on this website have made a declaration to Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership that they either make or prepare produce or a product that is local in origin. When we say local food or drink we mean it's grown, reared or otherwise produced within the Shropshire Hills AONB area or nearby. Ingredients for processed products, for example pies or apple juice should also be as local as possible.
We have included businesses who have a connection or association with the Shropshire Hills, even though they may be outside the formal boundaries. The Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership reserve the right to refuse any listing.
The listings provide users relevant consumer and environmental information which will help users make more informed decisions with regard to choosing local products.
The Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership believe that by linking small scale local food production with the environment is an important aspect of today's farming in the Shropshire Hills. This type of farming is encouraged as it's considered far more sustainable than the more intensive methods which are linked with larger scale food production.
